A RECYCLE PROJECT
Have you ever been frustrated when setting a stone or
making a piece of jewelry with small findings and beads rolling here and
there? And the jewelry board has always been seemingly too small to have everything
on it?
If you are a beginner, this is certainly what you need to start with.
Here is a way that we can make make our own large size jewelry board by using some recycle materials, lets save the
earth!
Tools & Materials needed:
- Hard
Board
- Scissor
- Velvet
cloth (the type which normally use for jewelry boxes instead of apparel)
- Clear Tape or Hot Glue
1. Cut out some hard boards from unwanted boxes, about 2 x 1 1/2 feet.
2. Cut velvet cloth into the size big enough to cover the paper board and make sure there are some extra bit that you can fold over.
3. Turn the board around, the velvet cloth should be larger than the paper board.
5. Fold up the corner
6. Repeat same steps for all 4 sides.
7. Flip it over and it is done!
8. You may make as many as you wish in assorted colors at very affordable cost. Check out the textile store at your local area, the prices for velvet are not as pricey as we thought.
P.S. The one I made with clear tapes still stays in great shape after about a year. Try yours and share your ideas here with me. :)
