GEMSTONES JEWELRIES PROJECT: LOVE STORY

Oooo....  I can't wait to share this project as it is a really special project for this occasion. It is a special request from a friend to make this piece of necklace for a girl that he admires as Christmas gift :)

After listening to his story and taking a look at the lucky girl photo, I decided to name this project "LOVE STORY" and start thinking of the details in crafting it.

I decided to create lot of swirls, curls and coils here in this project as it is so romantic as oppose to something that is symmetrical. With all the smooth edges, the look is complete.

I have made used of a pink Amethyst from Brazil as the center stone, its softness in tone with great cutting and totally inclusion free (Gemologist told me that after testing) set in perfectly for the design. The 2 pink Rose Quartz helps to balance out in the design too and the purpose it serve here lies in the meaning of the stone too as Rose Quartz are known as "Love Stone" There are also some Peridots and Smoky Quartz for highlighting its beauty.

Atlas, I wish my friend well as he reveal his feeling to his dream girl........... :)))

The photo have been edited for the purpose of high-lighting the details  as silver tends to have a really light shade on photos. The real piece are in bright silver color as this is the feature of Argentium Silver.

Gemstones Jewelries Set Project: Message in a Bottle

This earring is name after its resemblance of a bottle and the gemstones in it.

Sometimes, I will think of the project theme before starting a project but for this one, is actually on the reverse. It was done with a intrigue shape before it is name. Looking at its shape and wavy flow, I decided to name it: Message in a bottle, where 3 type of stones are use here: the Red Garnet, Pink Amethyst and Green Peridot.

To match with the earrings, this adjustable spiral ring has been made with flowing movements and layered with wavy shape in free form.

2 types of stones are used here: Red Garnet & Pink Amethysts.

With the use of 14k gold filled wires and with one of a kind design, this jewelry set is really an idea of creating a unique look with an evening dress.

How to Differentiate the Purposes of the Pliers

Different pliers are meant to carry out a different action, knowing the functions of each of this pliers will help us on making not just another piece of jewelry, but also neater, more aesthetic and sturdier piece of jewelry.

1. Round Nose Pliers- It is largely use in wire works for making loops, jump rings, turns and twists, coils and lot more creative ideas you can come up with.

2.Chain Nose Pliers- to create a more angular edge looking while making findings or jewelries, good tool to use to tuck in wires for a fine finishing too.

3. Flat Nose Pliers- to flaterned or strengthening jewelries after it is done.

4. Nylon Pliers- to straighten and strengthen all type of jewelry wires, great for precious wires that it does not leave marks or scratches on your silver or gold wires.

5. Side Cutter- for cutting and of course for trimming off your excess wires.

6. Hammer & Metal Block- For flat effects or strengthening.

With this set of basic tools, you will be able to create a lot of jewelries with all type of wires, beads and gemstones. So, get yourself gear up!!
