Wire Wrapped Bracelet- Tangible Heart

This bracelet is made with combining a few different techniques altogether. It is wrapped, weaved and sculpted into a bracelets. Every single part has been hand produced and hand finished including every single loops and jump rings.

I have incorporated a few types of gemstones here, they are: Amethyst. Sunstones, Black Spinel, Peridots and Lemon Quartz, all natural gems here. The combination of all these colors of gemstones and natural copper have result a very vibrant piece of jewelry.

The chain is approx 5mm in thickness and made with single weave viking technique. It is then connected to a hand forged tube connector decorated with Amethyst.

The most creative part of this bracelet is that it can be worn as snug fit or loose fit, with the heart as a center piece or as a dangling charm. The clasp could be hook onto the heart shape or onto the loop.

This is one of my old work but it sure takes me this long to create a post for it. LOL...

This piece has already been sold. Contact me if you like to find out more about this bracelet, love to hear from you.

Upcycling idea for Creating Christmas Frost Nail Polish in 3 Minutes

Christmas is around the corner, here's one cool and simple way to create a frosty look nail polish. It is  an upcycle project too.

I am sure for most girls, you have some expired eye shadow somewhere in your room. Go find them and dig them out.

Ingredients you need:

1, Expired eye shadow (Shimmering type)
2. Expired Base/ Top coat

Step 1.
Scoop eye shadow up with a tea spoon. (They don't have to be mashed). I am only using one palette of eye shadow in lilac.

Step 2.
Wait for eye shadow to be dissolved.

Step 3.
Shake well before use.

It is done! Just so simple.

Upside about this project:
1. Recycling eye shadow and top/base coat.
2. Creating an unique frosty color with texture

Only downside I can think of:
1. The eye shadow tends to sink to the bottom of the bottle. You will have to shake it well every time before using it.

Hope you enjoy this project.

So, I have shoot shoot a photo and made a quote with lemon. You could download or just pin and share this with your friends.

As a jewelry artisan, instead of making lemon into lemonade, it is one of the remedy I use for cleaning copper.

Come back to see more on cleaning copper later, I have not publish the post yet.

Here are some ways you can benefit from lemon from health to cleaning.

  • Rich in vitamin C
  • A cup of warm lemon juice in the morning flush out toxins.
  • It helps dissolve uric acid therefore reducing inflammation and pains in joints and knees.
  • High in antioxidant and prevent Wrinkles and Acne.
  • Help balancing the ph level of body and maintaining healthy colon.
  • Help to prevent and cure flu.
  • Ditch the left over skin of lemon into dish washing liquid and it will make your washing easier and pleasant.
  • Place lemon slices in your living room and it repels bad smells.
  • Wiping tarnishes away with just some additional salt. (will be in my following post.)
  • Making Lemon Meringue. :)
Ok, I have list 10, your turn to tell me what lemon do for you. :)

How to create line spaces or white background on Instagram profile photos

As I was browsing on others lovely profile, I found that some of their profile photos actually has spacing.  All their beautiful photos are on a white background too. Their photos appears in all type of sizes instead of just one square box.

It is frustrating because no matter what, you just have to crop your beautiful landscape photo into a square box.

Good news, here's the simple solution, I am doing on my Samsung Note 3, should work for everyone too.

1. Go to play store, or sometimes it is call apps store.

2. Enter 'no crop' in search.

3. Click and install 'No Crop for instagram'.

4. After done installing, open 'no crop' and you will see the homepage.

If you are using photo from your phone memory, just click gallery to find the photo you want to use.

If not, you can shoot one photo using no crop camera.

5. I am choosing from my gallery here.

6. Pick the photo you want to use.

7.  And it will appear on no crop like this one here, There are also a whole lot of photo editing features that you can use to edit your photo.

It was kind of fun to me playing with all those effects. :)

8. To adjust photo sizes, I just shrink it right from the touch screen on my smart phone.

Click on the star wand and you will see different photo effects.

9. I choose the Lomo here, em... not bad huh... Choose your favorite effect and, click the share icon.

10. Click on instagram if you want to share instantly or click save to share later.

11. This is how your pic looks like on instagram with a white background. Click on the blue arrow to continue.

12. Then, you will be on the editing page on Instagram now. I will normally skip editing and head straight to sharing as I have already edited earlier on.

13. Delete the auto caption and add in your own descriptive caption here. Of course, all your related hash-tags too. :)

14. You are done! Isn't that easy? Here's my profile with all different sizes of photographs and a white background.

You could use No Crop to create a background color too, you might want to consider using one single color for all photos to create a cohesive Instagram profile.

Let me know if this work for you. :)

Happy trying out your new app. You can follow me on instagram too:

How to Clean Silver with Kitchen Ingredients

Cleaning silver is much easier than you thought, there are so many ways of cleaning it and removing tarnishes from it with ingredients that you can find in your kitchen.

Here is one of the method which is safe and chemical free.

What you need:

1. A glass bowl.

2. White Vinegar

3. Baking Powder

4. Salt.

5. Aluminium Foil

6. Wooden or plastic spoon (something that you can pick your jewelries up)

HERE ARE THE STEPS:

1. Wrap the glass bowl with aluminium foil.

2. Place all your silver jewelry into the bowl.

3. Sprinkle baking soda so generously that you cover up all your silver jewelries.

4. Sprinkle about half a tea spoon of salt evenly on top of your jewelries.

5. Pour boiling hot water into the bowl, don't worry, your silver jewelries are sturdy enough to stand the heat.

6. Add a table spoon of vinegar in the mixture.

7. Stir the mixture with some wooden spoon or fork. I'm using chop sticks here, which is perfect for me.

8. I will normally leave it there for half an hour before returning  to check on it progress. If a piece has been tarnished badly, you may have to repeat the whole process for few times.

9. Rinse well with warm water to remove all residues, you may like to use a soft bristle tooth brush here to help to clean up what is left on your silver.

10. Pad dry with cotton and apply a thin layer of olive oil which will help to prevent tarnishing.

NOT ADVISABLE to clean your patina silver jewelries with this method as it will have the whole piece turn white inclusive of all the highlighted details.

Happy trying out. :)

Connect with me here if you like to ask me any questions, don't be shy. :)
